Religion

Religion

In his Farewell Address, President George Washington clearly defined the issue when he said:

Of all the depositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports...And let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion...In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness...."

"Separation of church and state" was a Christian idea that came right out of the Bible. It had been used by preachers for 200 years before Jefferson used it. He specifically attached the phrase to the Free Exercise Clause of the First Amendment.

The government was never to interfere with public activities. The 1947 Everson vs. Board of Education attached it to the Establishment Clause, reversing the original meaning to now say that the government could interfere with religious activity.

Without religion the government of a FREE people cannot be maintained(5000 Year Leap). Religion consisted of five fundamentals common to all religions at the time of our founding:

1) There exists a Creator who made all things, and mankind should worship

him.

2) The Creator has revealed a moral code of behavior for happy living which

distinquishes right from wrong.

3) The Creator holds mankind responsible for the way they treat each other.

4) All mankind live beyond this life.

5) In the next life, mankind are judged for their conduct in this one.

Jefferson said, All religions are to be encouraged in order to promote the moral fiber and religious tone of the people."

Expecting good political outcomes in a bad moral climate is like expecting good crops to grow in bad soil. Limited government requires the greatest of VIRTUE. The communist network in our land has always worked to undermine the two "great pillars" mainly through the ACLU. They have done so in our schools, especially in the area of sex education. The goal is to reduce man to a carnal animal. If it feels good, do it. You are a equal citizen. Do you really want to live in a nation...not under God?

If so, why not move to those bastions of happiness and prosperity in Russia, China, Cuba, or Brazil? Wm. Penn said, "Tyranny begins where God leaves off...if you will not be ruled by God, you will ruled by tyrants." I have learned that all our personal problems have come about because we have chosen to not live morally by our founding religious principles(the 10 Commandments and Golden Rule) and politically, we have chosen NOT to abide by the original Constitution.

The goal of our enemies is to destroy our Creator. This will happen if the gay community wins their lawsuit in California. The goal in the Perry vs Schwarzenegger lawsuit is to declare that religious views may not be used to deny a "social civil right". This case may eliminate any discussion of religion in the public square. If so, we will finally be a Soviet country.

If this what you really want, why celebrate the 4th of July and sing these lines from these patriotic songs?:

America the Beautiful

-Oh, beautiful for patriot dream..heroes proved in liberating strife..

-Who more than self their country loved,And mercy more than life..

-America! God shed his grace on thee...Thy liberty in law...

My Country, Tis of Thee

-Sweet land of liberty...land of the noble free

-Our father's God to thee, Author of liberty

-Long may our land be bright..with freedoms Holy light..

-Protect us by thy might, Great God, our King.

The Star-Spangled Banner

-when Freemen shall stand..over the ramparts we watched

-Praise the Pow'r that hath made and preserved us a nation..

-Then conquer we must, when our cause is just..

-And this be our motto, "In God is our trust!"

-Oh say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave..

-O'er the Land of the Free..and the Home of the Brave!?
